Jerry's Nugget is indeed a legendary deck of playing cards. Produced in 1970s for the namesake casino in Las Vegas, it used to cost only 50 cents. However, jerrys were only sold in the souvenir shop and have never been introduced to the gambling house. First off, to prevent cheaters marking Jerry's Nugget easy-to-scratch back design. Besides, chemical materials used during manufacturing were harmful for the environment. In a few years collectors have bought out the remaining stock and since 2000s the value of these cards is constantly on the rise. It goes without saying there's only a few places where one could buy such a rare collectible deck (including eBay and our shop), however the pricetag of $500+ wasn't encouraging for many. Not to mention that inexperienced buyers oftentimes ended up with fakes. Bill Kalush (a friend and consultant of magician David Blaine) decided to change this situation. His Expert Playing Card Company negotiated to reprint these cards with the Stamis family, the owners of the Jerry's Nugget casino. This is not a knockoff, it's the real thing or "authetic release", with cards printed on premium "Bee" stock and using modern technologies of the United States Playing Card Company. The Kickstarter campaign raised almost half a million dollars in the summer of 2019, and now the official replica is affordable to almost everyone.

At the first glance the licenced copy of Jerry's Nugget, also called JN: Modern Feel, looks very much like the originals from 1970s. An expert of course could tell the difference in a dozen ways judging only by the tuck case. Not to mention that the modern reprints and the original edition from the seventies are not even in the same league in terms of feel. However the back design, jokers and the Ace of Spades are identical. Each deck features two additional cards (a coloured Joker and and a gaff card with a blank side).
