It turned out so, that a new custom deck of playing cards from theory11 and ellusionist in particular, is released literally each month lately, if not more often. But, as a rule, newer decks are customized to a certain extent only, by adding some unique touches to the back design and a couple of high-valued cards. Even if the changes are applied to court and (lo and behold) number cards, such deck can still rarely be called completely custom. 

At least that's what designers from Digital Abstracts studio most likely think. Their original Playing Arts project can change the rules in the card industry once and for all. From the 2 of Clubs and to the Ace of Spades, each card in this Edition One deck has been individually and meticulously illustrated by one of the 55 chosen artists across the globe. Each designer showcased an exquisite and original style. That's why each card in the Playing Arts deck is completely different. The only standard in terms of design was applied to the back, pips and indexes of each card. 

The deck, printed by The United States Playing Card Company (Bicycle® stock), consists of 52 unique playing cards, 2 jokers, one ad card and one more card with the Playing Arts artists' names.
