It's Artisan theory11 decks that David Copperfield called "the best playing cards ever produced". Not hard to understand why. Only its in and out pitch black tuck case, embossed with gold baroque-inspired vignettes looks like a piece of art on its own. Face side features a golden Ace of Spades and a framed inside "Artisan" lettering, along with Artisan guild symbol - two crossed hammers with a star below them. A seal in a shape of a tax stamp indicates the production date of the deck.

The back design features big A and G letters, along with latin sayings - "Sine labore nihil" and "Per ardua ad alta", which mean "Nothing without work" and "Through difficulties to the heights". All hidden symbols, smooth and symmetrical back design shapes, Jokers and, particularly, Ace of Spades artwork were meticulously developed in South Africa by Simon Frouws.

Artisans are available in black (black colourway on a green background) and white (golden colourway on a white background). 

Printed in the USA by the United States Playing Card Company. Based on FSC-certified paper derived from sustainable forests, using vegetable-based inks and starch-based laminates.
