Animal Kingdom were created by theory11 in collaboration with the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and for every deck sold, a dollar is donated to aid the global conservation of wildlife. The design of this deck was developed in collaboration with Hatch whom you may know as the people behind the Sentinels deck.

Unlike other playing cards, Animal Kingdom have a loose, cartoon-like design. It was drawn free-hand with no completely straight lines or images. Instead playing cards feature various pictures of animals and the Earth. On the court cards, the royal family has been replaced with crocodiles, polar bears, zebras, parrots and more whilst a couple of hyenas occupy the jokers.

Despite the seemingly mirrored back design, the deck is actually one-way because each of the corners features lettering: grasslands, jungle, swamp and arctic. Printed in USA by the United States Playing Card Company.
