Today kendama has a huge following across the globe. Initially the goal was to land a Tama (a ball with a hole inside, connected to a handle using a string) on a Spike. But that isn't as easy as it sounds. Even this seemingly simple task requires considerable practice. Besides, there's plenty of tricks with cups (located on the sides and on the bottom of the Ken), juggling, spinning, swinging, swirling, tapping, balancing... The amount of combinations of tricks that can be done with kendama is overwhelming.
