Playing Arts project was born in 2012 and the founders have released four decks of playing cards since, each of them featured 55 artworks by illustrators from across the world. All campaigns have become huge hits among collectors, upon successfully being funded on Kickstarter. In 2019 the creators from Digital Abstracts have decided to get back to their roots by re-releasing their first prototype version of the deck - Playing Arts Edition Zero.

Animations of several cards in AR have become an exciting bonus for the Zero edition. If your smartphone supports this feature, download an app (iOS, Android) and try pointing a camera within the app at the backs and faces of the cards. Playing Arts Edition Zero is printed by the US Playing Card Co, using Bicycle paper. However, these decks feel stiffer and of better quality than the regular bikes.
