Since 2012 some unique decks of playing cards were released under the brand of Playing Arts, combining artworks from illustrators across the globe. All campaigns have become huge hits among collectors, upon successfully being funded on Kickstarter. For the Playing Arts Future Edition series creators from Digital Abstracts have asked artists to paint the world they imagine in 100 years. Out of 299 submissions 110 have become part of this project as faces for Chapter I and Chapter II decks (photos of the cards are displayed in chronological order).

Animations of several cards in AR have become an established bonus and now available for the Future Edition too. If your smartphone supports this feature, download an app (iOS, Android) and try pointing a camera within the app at the backs and faces of the cards.
